short & long term goal

short term goal: survive. and let happiness and playfulness survive, too.

long term goal:
save enough money and make myself talented enough and find a job or do something in which i will be as strong-willed as this: http://www.sandeechan.com/blog/?p=1744

or

find a job that's stable and reasonable enough and allows me to be as strong-willed as that for something meaningful and interesting when I'm off from work.

teaching is meaningful - i still strongly believe in this. but marking endless compositions and news commentaries and other endless writing tasks and getting stomach ulcer as a bonus at the end of the year isn't. (<- real life story of my colleague's)

attending endless team building sessions till 1900 and continuing to mark writing tasks afterwards isn't.

being as hardworking as a cow (i learn this from my student's work!) and spending 14 hours on your job and having no time to reflect AT ALL isn't.

even if you are lucky enough to get stomach ulcer, you still have to mark the endless writing tasks. you are paid to do this. why blame?

life isn't endless. how reasonable can that be to conquer our limited time with meaningless and endless torture? when adequate sleep becomes part of the job - you have to hurry up everyday so that you can sleep PUNCTUALLY - do you still call this life? teachers are meant to teach students what life SHOULD be. but do you know what life is, my dear fellow teachers?
